New Intermediate School
Work at the new intermediate school is progressing along on schedule. You can see in the photos above that the majority of the West classroom wing has had the roof sheathing installed in preparation for the final roofing layers. Interior mechanical, plumbing and electrical work continues on the inside of this area while the exterior is getting worked on.
Roof sheathing is thin boards of woods that span the roof trusses to provide support for the rest of the roof. Sheets of plywood are being used for this building as the sheathing.
The photo on the left shows a view from the North side of the building with the gymnasium to the far left. Soon the gym's roof framing will begin.
The photo on the right shows the exterior walls and structural steel for the East classroom wing.
Administration Remodel
Flooring and interior finishes are being worked on this month at the administration building. Below is a snap shot of what the finished space will look like before all of the furniture gets moved in.
These acoustical wall panels are designed to reduce sound traveling to and from each office space.
The white rectangle suspended "clouds" in-between the lights are also designed to reduce sound in the office space. You can see in the photos that there are a lot more clouds to be hung at all the hanging wire locations.
